Exponential Buys DC Kilowatts

Exponential Power Inc. has acquired DC Kilowatts, expanding the company’s motive power service expertise and position as a leading supplier of DC power solutions.

DC Kilowatts is based in Indianapolis, IN, providing industrial batteries and chargers for forklifts, switchgear, telecommunications and UPS systems.

The company also designs and installs battery charging rooms. The firm was founded in 1980 with a mission “to provide our customers with a level of service second to none.”

“DC Kilowatts is known for providing excellent service to its customers and we are pleased to welcome them to the Exponential Power family,” said Exponential Power CEO Jake Walker.

“Bill Fink and his team built an impressive company with a 43-year history and have been a Crown Battery authorized representative since 2007. Their motive power expertise is a great fit for Exponential Power, expanding our geographic footprint, strengthening our more-than-30-year relationship with Crown Battery, and further increasing our sales and service capabilities,” he added.

Exponential Power Inc. has acquired DC Kilowatts.

The DC Kilowatts acquisition grows Exponential Power’s reach for service and state-of-the-art stored power solutions to 18 locations across the US.

  • Exponential Power was formed in January 2021 through the merger of Storage Battery Systems, Nolan Power Group, Quality Standby Services and Summit Power Systems, and since then, the company has been on a path of exponential growth through new product launches and acquisitions. DC Kilowatts is Exponential Power’s sixth acquisition in the past 18 months.
