Hydra-Slide Webinar with LGH, ITI and Robins & Morton

Hydra-Slide Ltd, the manufacturer of equipment for moving, loading or unloading all types of heavy loads, will present a webinar on 15 June titled, “Jack & Slide—Everything You Need to Know”, which includes a case study about its HT500 hydraulically powered heavy track skidding system.

Hydra-Slide will deliver the webinar alongside U.S. rental partner Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) and Industrial Training International (ITI), a leader in crane-related educational and technical services, with input from engineering and construction firm Robins & Morton, who rented the 500t machine from LGH.

The HT500 is frequently used to move transformers, generators, compressors, pressure vessels and machines where a rigid, load carrying track is required. The webinar will center on a case study about Robins & Morton completing the setting of two 620,000-lb. condenser units under a concrete table top at a power plant.

Janine Smith, vice president, Hydra-Slide, said: “We are very excited about delivering the webinar alongside our esteemed partners and a high profile end user. Don Mahnke [president, Hydra-Slide] is an instructor for ITI’s Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering course and we always look forward to collaborating with them.”

LGH will be represented on the webinar by Sonny Calderone, engineer for its power and industrial division; and Frank Green, mechanical superintendent.

Smith added: “We are planning a practice run of the webinar on the Tuesday of that week before the live webinar the following day. We’ll be streaming live video through Facebook and it will be available afterwards on YouTube.”

Other products in the Hydra-Slide range include the 300t HT300 and 1,000t HT1000 Tri-Rail, capable of pushing 1,000t while maintaining an eight-inch profile.
