Caldwell Expands Range of In-Stock Products with Spreader, Lifting Beams
The Caldwell Group Inc. has expanded its In-Stock range with additional Model 16 Adjustable Spreader / Lifting Beams and Model 20 Low-Headroom Multiple-Spread Lifting Beams. They join an already comprehensive suite of USA-made Caldwell below-the-hook lifters and Renfroe clamps, alongside RUD slings and lifting points.
Caldwell’s In-Stock program features hundreds of items that are on the shelf, many of which ship within one business day — for free — with no additional charges added to the invoice. The Model 16 and 20 are two of the most in-demand product families in the company’s catalog, presenting crane operators and riggers with options for dozens of load scenarios.

The Caldwell Group continues to expand its In-Stock range.
Three Model 16s have joined the program, offering capacities from 2 ton to 5 ton and various minimum to maximum spreads of 48 in. to 96 in. Key features include adjustable lifting points; an ability to handle both wide and unbalanced loads; and low-headroom capability. Shackles are included. Six Model 20s are also available, in capacities from 5 ton to 10 ton and maximum spreads from 72 in. to 120 in. Used across the country in manufacturing and industrial applications, it is a favorite on construction sites too.

Doug Stitt, president and CEO at Caldwell, said: “Stocked inventory matters in our industry, and we are expanding our assortment within two of the most in-demand product lines. The In-Stock concept has proven incredibly successful; we continue to receive an overwhelming response. Distributors know they can rely on us to have the products they need, when they need them. That reliability helps them meet their customers’ expectations for safety, quality, and responsiveness, strengthening relationships and creating opportunities for repeat business.”

Among the Model 16s to join the program is this 4-ton capacity product.
Headroom is often the deciding factor when choosing between a lifting beam and a spreader beam. A spreader beam incorporates top rigging and is designed primarily to work in compression. While this can offer an efficient lifting solution, the additional rigging requires vertical space above the beam. A lifting beam connects directly to the crane hook and is typically designed to withstand bending moments. This arrangement generally requires less headroom, making it a practical choice where overhead clearance is limited.

The Model 20 Low-Headroom Multiple-Spread Lifting Beam has joined the In-Stock program.
In addition to lifting and spreader beams, also stocked are RUD lifting points; below-the-hook lifters; construction lifters, such as barrier grabs, pipe lifters; forklift attachments, such as fork booms, extensions, drum lifters; and Renfroe plate clamps.

Six Model 20s are available as In-Stock items, in capacities from 5 ton to 10 ton.
In-Stock items under 12 ft. in length and 4,000 lbs. in capacity ship for free, while orders placed by 11:00 am ship the same day. For large orders, or known scheduled replenishment orders, Caldwell distributors should consult their assigned customer service representative, so they can be sure to respond to unusual demand as quickly as possible.
