Toyota Earns John Deere Recognition

Toyota Material Handling (TMH), has earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The Partner-level status is Deere & Company’s highest supplier rating.

TMH was selected for the honor because of its dedication to providing quality products, service and solutions as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. TMH is a supplier of forklift and automated products to numerous John Deere facilities across North America.

Company associates were recognized during formal ceremonies held January 29 in Davenport, Iowa.

“Kaizen, or continuous improvement, is part of our DNA at Toyota,” said Bill Finerty, TMH Senior Vice President of Sales. “Receiving this recognition is a testament to our brand promise and reinforces our commitment to our customers. We’re proud to be viewed as a partner in John Deere’s success.”

Toyota Material Handling offers a full line of material handling products proudly assembled in the United States, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, container handlers, automated guided vehicles, and tow tractors, along with aerial work platforms, fleet management services, and advanced automation engineering and design.

Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
