SpeedCell Storage Solution for Watersports Supplier

SpeedCell Storage Solutions has demonstrated the versatility of its storage solutions with an installation at Overton’s/Gander Direct, which provides boating accessories and watersports equipment.

The end user’s biggest concern was future expansion into the apparel market and the resulting impact on the stock keeping unit.

Overton’s decided to install SpeedCell into four bays during one of their peak seasons for a trial, which led to installation of 88 more bays and the creation of 219 locations per bay and 4,380 locations per aisle—a grand total of over 17,000 additional locations within the current footprint.

“We already have plans to add more in 2015 to accommodate footwear, as well as items in our secured cage,” said Steve Pridgeon, of Overton’s.
