Rigging Institute Q1 Training Courses

Rigging Institute LLC, a rigging application and inspection training company, has confirmed Q1 2020 courses at five venues.

Mike Riggs, president at Rigging Institute, said: “Lifting equipment rarely makes direct contact with a load, meaning lifting operations are only ever as safe as the attachment between the load and the crane, and the rigger making that connection. As a rigger is generally the responsible decision maker for a lift, it is a sector that demands continued improvement of best practice.”

The Rigging Institute was established by the founders of I&I Sling Inc. and Slingmax Rigging Solutions in 2010. I&I Sling has manufactured, tested, designed and patented rigging slings and hardware since 1966. Slingmax is a worldwide association of rigging equipment fabricators with locations in 10 different countries.

As the company looks to drive the cultural improvement of U.S. lifting and rigging activity, it will stage the following training courses:

• Competent Rigger Level 1 – January 29
• Competent Rigger Level 2 – January 30 & 31

John Sakach Company, Granite City, IL Learning Center

• Qualified Inspector – February 24 & 25
• Competent Rigger Level 1 – February 26
• Competent Rigger Level 2 – February 27 & 28

I & I Sling, Knoxville, TN Learning Center

• Qualified Inspector – March 9 & 10
• Competent Rigger Level 1 – March 11
