WIT Pledge for Physical Activity
The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is collaborating with the Physical Activity Alliance by signing onto the Pledge for Physical Activity, which is a nationwide campaign that aims to inspire leaders to adopt movement-friendly strategies that enhance employee health and productivity.
The project was made possible by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
WIT’s President and CEO Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, formally signed onto the pledge on behalf of WIT with the commitment to fulfill two components:
- Adopt at least two strategies that will provide employees with opportunities for movement and physical activity. As part of this strategy WIT will continue to promote health and wellness to its members through continuous education and encouragement about the importance of physical activity to all workers within the trucking industry.
- Lead by example by prioritizing physical activity in her own life.
Hedrick also encourages other leaders of WIT organizations to sign the Pledge. Who can sign? Any organization leader, such as CEO’s, Executive Directors, Presidents, Managing Directors and others.

WIT will continue to promote health and wellness to its members.
