CITT, AFPA Partner
Canada’s Logistics Association, CITT, has announced that the Alberta Food Processors Association (AFPA) is its newest industry ally.
CITT’s industry allies are like-minded associations with which CITT has formally agreed to cooperate and extend benefits for the advancement of their members’ mutual interests.
“Food and beverage logistics is a challenging space, demanding unique knowledge and expertise,” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT.
“Whether managing complex global supply chains or farm-to-fork, logistics professionals in the F&B space face complex demands from regulation as well as customers. AFPA is committed to excellence in the space and to the training and development of their members’ talent,” she adds.
“We’re excited to collaborate with AFPA and their members to enhance their competitive advantage and developing the transportation logistics abilities of Albertan food processors.”

AFPA is a non-profit organization representing all segments of the $28 billion food and beverage industry including growers, processors, retailers, food service buyers and suppliers since 1974. AFPA’s mission is to build the competitive advantage of their members through quality training, effective promotion and by being the representative voice of members and the Alberta food processing industry.
“At AFPA, we’re thrilled to partner with CITT to enhance supply chain expertise within Alberta’s food processing industry,” says Bianca Parsons, Executive Director of AFPA.
“This collaboration offers our members access to top-tier logistics training and a network of professionals, empowering them to navigate the complexities of supply chain management more effectively. By leveraging CITT’s resources, we’re equipping our members with the tools needed to streamline operations, reduce costs, and remain competitive in a dynamic market.”
