Port Tampa Bay Hires Kinsey

Port Tampa Bay has named Stephanie Kinsey director of business development, where she will lead strategic sales and business development efforts for container cargo in support of the port’s Vision 2030 master plan, the port announced.

Kinsey will focus on expanding cargo volumes, strengthening supply chain partnerships and positioning the port for long-term growth.

Kinsey brings 25 years of international logistics experience, having worked with Fortune 500 beneficial cargo owners and global ocean carriers. Her experience includes managing import and export categories across multiple industries, including refrigerated cargo, chemicals, paper and retail. She previously held leadership roles with Hapag-Lloyd and Hamburg Süd, including five years as sales manager for Hamburg Süd’s Southeast territory.

Port Tampa Bay has named Stephanie Kinsey director of business development. Her experience includes managing import and export categories across multiple industries.

“Vision 2030 is about making strategic investments today to ensure Port Tampa Bay is ready for the next generation of global trade,” said Paul Anderson, president and CEO of Port Tampa Bay.

Stephanie’s experience across cargo owners, carriers and logistics providers will help accelerate container growth and maximize the value of those investments for our customers and the region.”

Kinsey is a two-time graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in supply chain and operations. She is also a licensed customs broker.

“Port Tampa Bay is making significant investments in infrastructure, technology and partnerships, and Vision 2030 provides a clear roadmap for growth,” Kinsey said.

“I look forward to helping advance that strategy by bringing new business to the port and strengthening the relationships that keep cargo moving efficiently through Tampa Bay.”

A native Floridian, Kinsey was born and raised in Polk County and has returned to Central Florida to represent Port Tampa Bay in her new role.
