NAW Strategic Advisory Groups

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) has launched a new suite of Strategic Advisory Groups, a bold initiative bringing together distribution industry leaders across key functional areas to tackle the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

The Advisory Groups will serve as dynamic peer-to-peer communities focused on advancing best practices, accelerating innovation, and informing NAW’s advocacy and educational efforts.

Designed for senior executives and subject matter experts, the groups provide exclusive access to curated programming, confidential benchmarking, and national visibility for thought leadership.

“This is more than a professional network, it’s a strategic brain trust for our industry,” said Eric Hoplin, NAW President and CEO.

“By convening the top minds in distribution, we’re ensuring that our members are not only ready for what’s next, but they’re also leading it.”

The inaugural groups launching in 2025 include:

  • Commercial Growth Advisory Group
  • Family Business Advisory Group
  • Finance Advisory Group
  • Human Resources Advisory Group
  • Operations Advisory Group
  • Technology Advisory Group

Each group is co-led by recognized industry leaders and meets regularly to address pressing issues, share insights, and develop actionable strategies that members can implement in their businesses.

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) is one of America’s leading trade associations, representing the $8.2 trillion wholesale distribution industry. Founded in 1946, NAW includes national, regional, and state employers of all sizes, as well as industry trade associations and stakeholders across every distribution sector.

NAW will also use insights from these groups to shape its national advocacy agenda and develop new tools, content, and programming tailored to member needs.

“This initiative reflects NAW’s commitment to delivering high-impact value to our members,” said Dan Schuberth, NAW Chief Revenue Officer.

“These groups are not just a benefit, they’re a new standard for what leadership collaboration looks like in the distribution industry.”
