J.B. Hunt Renews WIT Gold

The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) has announced that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. has renewed its Gold Level sponsorship reaffirming the company’s commitment to the mission of the association to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the industry.

Since 2015, the company has supported WIT at the Gold Level and actively participates in the association’s activities.

Jennifer Plumlee, vice president of transportation at J.B. Hunt, brings a wealth of knowledge to the WIT board of directors serving as vice chair.

Additionally, Jodi Edwards, a two-million-mile driver for J.B. Hunt and 2024 WIT Driver of the Year, shares her expertise as a member of the WIT Image Team.

“We are proud to extend our support for the Women In Trucking Association. The organization continues to provide a unique platform for women to engage and learn from one another while paving the way for future generations to have more meaningful careers and impact on our industry,” said Plumlee.

Founded in 2007, the Women In Trucking Association is a resource for more than 8,000 corporate and individual members located in the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as Japan, Australia, Sweden, South Africa and New Zealand. Recent accomplishments include: releasing the 2024-25 WIT Index, the industry barometer to regularly benchmark and measure the percentage of women who make up critical roles in transportation, which had approximately 350 company participants; hosting 7,400 participants in the WITney® Educational Trailer throughout 40 events in 26 states; honoring 200-plus leaders in transportation through several recognition programs; and more than 2,000 registered attendees at the 2024 Accelerate! Conference and Exhibition.
