Dimetix USA’s Crane Sentry, a modular and intuitive laser distance sensor-based gantry crane position and collision detection monitoring system, has been showcased in an online video. Crane Sentry is not a crane collision avoidance system. It should be used to complement, not as a substitute for, compliance with industry standard best practices and applicable safety regulations.

The system has several available operating modes, including distance (collision monitoring), zone control (lock out zone activity), and skew (requires two lasers to prevent crane racking).

Crane Sentry also features a simple, teachable color touch screen display, and is available with a variety of options to ensure compatibility with almost any industrial working environment.
