Hiab Launches Military Logistics Fleet

Hiab has unveiled three new logistics handling solutions developed for demanding operational environments: the MULTILIFT Talon hooklift, the HIAB 1622 ATF loader crane, and the HIAB JMIC Top Handler.

The product introductions coincide with the launch of Hiab Defense Logistics (HDL), the new designation for Hiab‘s long-standing Government Business Operations (GBO). Supported by the same specialist team, HDL builds on more than 40 years of experience supporting defence logistics operations worldwide.

MULTILIFT Talon: Fully automated hooklift operation

Designed to enhance operational efficiency while prioritising crew safety, the MULTILIFT Talon enables a single operator to load and unload ISO containers and flatracks without leaving the truck cab.

The system offers 100% in-cabin operation, allowing handling tasks to be completed from the protection of the vehicle. The hooklift is also available installed on the latest TATRA FORCE chassis.

HIAB 1622 ATF: Compact loader crane with strategic mobility in mind

The HIAB 1622 ATF loader crane builds on the proven HIAB 2222 ATF platform, combining substantial lifting performance with a compact profile and extended outreach.

A foldable column design facilitates transport by rail or air and makes the crane suitable for installation on vehicles equipped with roof-mounted weapon stations.

Key features include:

  • A lifting rating of 14.45 tm
  • Maximum outreach of 8.3m
  • Lifting capacity of 1,660kg at maximum outreach
  • Stability Control technology
  • Crane Tip Control (CTC) for precise load positioning

The combination of lifting capacity, mobility and intelligent control systems is intended to support safe and efficient cargo handling in challenging operating conditions.

HIAB JMIC Top Handler improves container handling efficiency

Developed for use with Joint Modular Intermodal Containers (JMICs), the HIAB JMIC Top Handler is designed to improve the efficiency of logistics operations centred on 20ft ISO containers and STANAG flatracks.

Used alongside a loader crane, the attachment enables rapid and safe handling of JMIC containers. The system is available in both manual and hydraulic versions to suit different operational requirements.

Comprehensive logistics support

Hiab Defense Logistics complements the new product range with a full-service support offering that includes system integration, military-grade documentation, operator training and access to a global service network.
