DICA<\/a> and Industrial Training International (ITI)<\/a> will collaborate to create education content focused on ground conditions and preparation when using mobile cranes.<\/p>\n

The initial courses are expected to launch in Q2 2021 and are titled Ground Conditions & Outrigger Equipment Support and Ground Conditions & Crawler Equipment Support, respectively. The courses will be available through ITI<\/a>\u2019s online Learning Hub.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe importance of ground conditions and proper outrigger support for mobile cranes cannot be overstated, as following best practices in this area provides the foundation to any successful crane pick,\u201d said Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA<\/a>. \u201cWe appreciate the opportunity to work and collaborate with ITI<\/a> to make this subject matter available to the industry through a very accessible digital platform.\u201d<\/p>\n

Learning objectives for Ground Conditions & Outrigger Equipment Support includes understanding how equipment with outriggers exert loads and pressure on the ground; the performance properties of various support structures; and methods for effectively spreading a crane or equipment\u2019s weight.<\/p>\n

The Ground Conditions & Crawler Equipment Support course will cover how a crawler crane and crawler-based equipment places loads on the ground; the performance properties of various support structures for crawler equipment; and methods for effectively spreading a crawler equipment\u2019s weight.<\/p>\n
