{"id":7518,"date":"2020-02-24T04:55:54","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T04:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/news\/?p=7518"},"modified":"2020-02-20T14:59:13","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T14:59:13","slug":"national-academy-of-engineering-elects-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/news\/national-academy-of-engineering-elects-members\/","title":{"rendered":"National Academy of Engineering Elects Members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected 87 new members and 18 international members, bringing the total U.S. membership to 2,309 and the number of international members to 281.<\/p>\n<p>Academy membership honors those who have made outstanding contributions to &#8220;engineering research, practice, or education, including, where appropriate, significant contributions to the engineering literature&#8221; and to &#8220;the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology, making major advancements in traditional fields of engineering, or developing\/implementing innovative approaches to engineering education.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Election of new NAE members is the culmination of a yearlong process.
