The MHI<\/a> Solutions Community has partnered with the College-Industry Council on Material Handling Education (CICMHE) to release a white paper titled \u201cAdding Value to Manufacturing, Retail, Supply Chain, and Logistics Operations with Big Data Analytics,\u201d by Ishita Gupta and Manjunath Kamath of Oklahoma State University.<\/p>\n

This paper examines how big data analytics can add value to supply chain operations by gaining insightful business knowledge about business operations. As a huge amount of data is generated daily, descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics can be used to make sense of the data and benefit supply chain operations by supporting real-time data feeds, better in-store shopping experiences, or predicting customer responses to promotions, among others.<\/p>\n
