Cimcorp<\/a>, a manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic gantry-based order fulfillment and tire-handling solutions, has named Markus Rimmele general manager\u2014U.S. operations and technology services.<\/p>\n

With more than 20 years of experience in electrical engineering, the commissioning of multimillion-dollar equipment, operations management, team building and business development, Rimmele will head up Cimcorp<\/a>\u2019s U.S. office in Norcross, Georgia. In this role, he will manage technology and service support for Cimcorp<\/a>\u2019s U.S. customer base, and guide and secure economic targets in the region.<\/p>\n

Rick Trigatti, North America president, Cimcorp<\/a>, said: \u201cWe opened our U.S. office in the second quarter of 2016. Thanks to the leadership of General Manager Vesa Hakanen, it has become an established home base for our North American field services in not only the Southeast market, but also the entire United States. This has made a profound impact on both our business as well as our customers, who benefit from fast, expert local support. As Vesa passes the reins to Markus, I look forward to seeing how he will elevate our profitability and customer satisfaction across the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Originally from Germany and based in Georgia for the past 10 years, Rimmele has worked in a wide range of industries, including automotive, medical devices, solar energy, machine tooling and materials handling. An analytical problem solver, Rimmele started his career as a service technician and controls engineer, and worked his way up to managerial positions, leading the implementation and servicing of European technologies in the North American market.<\/p>\n

He recently graduated from Georgia State University\u2019s Executive MBA program, one of the top-ranked business schools in the Southeast. In his last role, he managed a business unit for a European engineering services company in Alpharetta, Georgia. Working with an international field services team, he planned and executed customized automation solutions in diverse industries and multiple geographic locations.<\/p>\n

Rimmele said: \u201cI am excited about this new position and to help strengthen Cimcorp<\/a>\u2019s U.S. service footprint. I see a tremendous opportunity for its materials handling solutions to fit right into the big Industry 4.0 picture coming together right now, with operations becoming more data-driven and automated, and maintenance becoming more predictive.
