During last week\u2019s 2016 MHI<\/a> Annual Conference, John Hill was designated an Emeritus Member of the Roundtable Advisory Committee at MHI<\/a> and Lifetime Director of the Material Handling Education Foundation (MHEFI).<\/p>\n

The title of Lifetime Director for MHEFI comes as a result of Hill\u2019s many contributions to the foundation, including generous donations, time and continuous support. Hill was involved from the foundation\u2019s beginnings in 1976 and has served on the MHEFI Board of Directors since 1978.<\/p>\n

Hill has also contributed a lifetime of service to the MHI<\/a> Board and Roundtable, serving in multiple capacities since 1977 and was designated an Emeritus Member of the MHI<\/a> Roundtable Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n

During last week\u2019s 2016 MHI Annual Conference, John Hill was designated an Emeritus Member of the Roundtable Advisory Committee at MHI and Lifetime Director of the Material Handling Education Foundation (MHEFI).<\/p><\/div>\n

John M. Hill is now a Director for St. Onge Company. Hill is a former president of MHEFI and MHI<\/a>. He is also a former COO\/CEO and officer of automatic data collection and supply chain execution systems firms with more than 100 successful AIDC (bar code, RFDC & RFID), warehouse equipment and warehouse (WMS) and transportation management (TMS) systems installations.<\/p>\n

He has led consulting engagements including logistics strategy assessment, requirements analysis and development of specifications, supplier selection, training and coordination of material handling, data collection and warehouse\/transportation management system implementations. He has worked with leading firms including Coca-Cola, Commonwealth Aluminum, CSX Corporation, Ford Motor Company, GE, General Motors, the Gillette Company, Hewlett-Packard, the Keebler Company, Land O\u2019Lakes, Purina Feed, Pepsi Bottling and many others.<\/p>\n

He was the recipient of the 1997 Norman L. Cahners and 2004 Reed-Apple awards for contributions to the U.S. material handling industry.<\/p>\n
