Long Beach crane, rigging and specialized transport company Bragg Companies will host more than 750 high school students at the 4th Lift & Move USA<\/a> event, which takes place at its headquarters in Long Beach, California on Wednesday 2 November.<\/p>\n

Bragg Companies, which is one of the largest crane, rigging and specialized transport businesses in the USA, will also welcome military veterans, teachers and parents to the event.<\/p>\n

Lift & Move USA<\/a> promotes career opportunities in the crane, rigging and specialized transport industries and aims to inspire and educate the next generation of drivers, mechanics, welders, crane operators and riggers (ironworkers).<\/p>\n

The previous event in the Lift & Move USA series took place in February 2016.<\/p><\/div>\n

The careers program\u2014an industry initiative that was launched last year\u2014is building momentum, with a total of more than 1,100 students and veterans attending the three previous events in Chicago, Illinois, Houston, Texas and Graham, North Carolina.<\/p>\n

The event is jointly organized by Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), and industry publisher KHL Group, owners of American Cranes & Transport magazine.<\/p>\n

Bragg Companies will host more than 750 high school students.<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201cIt is vital that we reach out to the future generations of workers to be sure they realize that they can have an impact in our industry. There are many exciting careers within our trade; it would be a shame if we let the opportunity pass to introduce our young people to these interesting and rewarding careers,\u201d continued Bragg.<\/p>\n

The event is free for students, parents, teachers and veterans, with industry representative paying a $150 registration fee. Attendees can register online at www.liftandmoveUSA.com<\/a>. Teachers can register student groups by contacting the organizers.<\/p>\n

The conference, which is organized in cooperation with SkillsUSA, the national organization that helps students prepare for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, will provide attendees with an overview of job opportunities in the industry alongside personal testimonies from young people already working in the sector.<\/p>\n
