To achieve this rating, <a title=\"CMCO\" href=\"http:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/item\/columbus-mckinnon\/\" target=\"_blank\">CMCO<\/a> made a variety of innovative design improvements, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High\u2010performance composite cord grips that prevent water from entering the motor body at the pendant and power cords\u2019 point of entry.<\/li>\n<li>Continuous gaskets that create a waterproof seal between the gearbox assembly and the back frame and motor covers.<\/li>\n<li>O\u2010rings on the lift wheel bearing that prevent water from entering the motor body through the lift wheel opening.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to weatherproofing, <a title=\"CMCO\" href=\"http:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/item\/columbus-mckinnon\/\" target=\"_blank\">CMCO<\/a> has made improvements to the drive shaft to prevent grease migration. It has also improved the serviceability of the motor by simplifying the wiring schemes, adding hardwired jumpers on the contactor and utilizing hex\u2010style screws throughout the motor.
