Below-the-hook equipment manufacturer Modulift<\/a> has named Ontario-based Equipment Corps<\/a> its first distributor in Canada.<\/p>\n

Modulift<\/a> has a global network of partners with a steadily growing presence in North America. The Canadian addition was announced just weeks after it was confirmed that I&I Sling Inc. will supply its equipment in eastern regions of the U.S.<\/p>\n

Equipment Corps<\/a> will stock spreader beams from MOD12, part of its standard range, up to MOD110H from the heavy range. The first batch of stock will be shipped at the end of July, as the new partner looks set to meet a target to become a fully operational distributor by the end of the following month.<\/p>\n

Sarah Spivey, managing director, Modulift<\/a>, said: \u201cThe timing is right to introduce Equipment Corps<\/a> to our distributor network, having been a long-term user of our products. As a number of large scale projects in the region look set to get underway in Q4 2016 and beyond, heightened demand for below-the-hook equipment will be met by a company with an intrinsic understanding of our spreader beams.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike Orzel, vice president, Equipment Corps<\/a>, said: \u201cWe have seen a huge amount of interest in Modulift spreader beams since we started putting the word out about becoming a distributor. Our clients are delighted that they will be able to get a spreader solution off the shelf as up until now they have had to consider custom engineered products.\u201d<\/p>\n

Orzel explained that oil and gas, construction and steel industry customers are among those who have noted the addition of Modulift<\/a> equipment to the product range. Spreader beams will complement Equipment Corps<\/a>\u2019 range of hoists, winches, gantry cranes and other lifting equipment.<\/p>\n

Spivey added: \u201cWe will continue to invest time and resources in giving our distributors all the tools and knowledge they need to be as successful as possible, whilst growing our network of partners to expand into additional markets. In that sense it is a two-pronged initiative.<\/p>\n
