Ace World Companies<\/a> has continued its partnership with Erachem Comilog by delivering six custom made hoists for use in a hazardous environment at a battery plant in New Johnsonville, Tennessee. The latest order consists of two 17 ton service hoists and four 1 ton telescopic mast stacker hoists.<\/p>\n

With an annual output of 30,000\u00a0tons every year, the Erachem facility is the largest producer of electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) in North America, which is used as cathode for high quality alkaline batteries.<\/p>\n

The latest order is for four hoists to lift steel plates out of acid baths plus two service hoists. As part of the EMD production process, a powdery substance grows on the steel plates and is harvested off by another piece of machinery. Ace equipment is integral to the process.<\/p>\n

Camron Ghanemi, vice president, Ace World Companies<\/a>, said: \u201cWe relished the latest challenge set by Erachem Comilog, who demand the very best of our custom manufacturing capability. We have served them previously and know their requirements for material handling products that fit a production process whilst contributing to the bottom line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ace<\/a> recently supplied two custom-built 15 ton overhead cranes for the plant, having initially supplied the facility with two overhead cranes. All units are specially designed and engineered for the hazardous working environment, while Ace provides ongoing service and maintenance.<\/p>\n

Kevin Beavers, vice president of crane manufacturing, Ace World Companies<\/a>, said: \u201cWe are the most experienced custom hoist manufacturer in the world and can design and build specifically for any application with virtually no limit in capacity. Recent orders from Erachem Comilog are testimony to that.\u201d<\/p>\n
