CM Labs Simulations<\/a>, the leading vendor of simulation-based training solutions for the construction, utilities, and ports industries, has entered the German market, a decisive step in the company\u2019s European growth strategy.<\/p>\n

At the center of this expansion is the Intellia\u2122 Workforce Training System, which meets all five technical criteria defined by DGUV (Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung) report FBHL-019 for the use of simulation systems in the qualification of heavy equipment operators.<\/p>\n

Germany is one of the few markets in the world where simulation-based training for heavy equipment operators carries formal regulatory recognition. Issued in September 2021, DGUV report FBHL-019 permits the use of simulation for the qualification of operators of selected mobile work equipment, including cranes and earthmoving machines, provided the system satisfies a defined set of technical requirements. Having already met those requirements, CM Labs<\/a> demonstrated the system\u2019s real-world applicability by certifying an operator live on a simulator at Bauma 2022, making the German market a natural target for the company\u2019s international expansion.<\/p>\n

DGUV FBHL-019 stipulates that simulation systems used for operator qualification must deliver realistic equipment operation, real-world scenarios that reinforce safe working habits, and problem-solving exercises that develop sound judgment for avoiding near-miss incidents and injuries.
