The Women In Trucking Association (WIT)<\/a> is collaborating with the Physical Activity Alliance by signing onto the Pledge for Physical Activity, which is a nationwide campaign that aims to inspire leaders to adopt movement-friendly strategies that enhance employee health and productivity.\"\"<\/p>\n

The project was made possible by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).<\/p>\n

WIT<\/a>\u2019s President and CEO Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, formally signed onto the pledge on behalf of WIT<\/a> with the commitment to fulfill two components:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Adopt at least two strategies that will provide employees with opportunities for movement and physical activity. As part of this strategy WIT<\/a> will continue to promote health and wellness to its members through continuous education and encouragement about the importance of physical activity to all workers within the trucking industry.<\/li>\n
  2. Lead by example by prioritizing physical activity in her own life.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Hedrick also encourages other leaders of WIT<\/a> organizations to sign the Pledge. Who can sign? Any organization leader, such as CEO\u2019s, Executive Directors, Presidents, Managing Directors and others.<\/p>\n
