Terex Utilities<\/a> is ramping up its equipment installation capacity to keep pace with growing demand.<\/p>\n

Recent investment includes the addition of a 60,000-square-foot installation facility in Waukesha, WI. The announcement was made during the 2025 Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference in Williamsburg, Va.<\/p>\n

\u201cTerex Utilities<\/a> is committed to meeting our customers\u2019 immediate- and long-term needs. We remain focused on our strategic priorities around safety, world-class quality, competitive lead-times, and innovation,\u201d Eric Kluver, Vice President and General Manager said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are investing in all these areas so we can provide the best experience and value to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Waukesha location will add to Terex Utilities<\/a>\u2019 overall manufacturing footprint. Last year, Terex added installation capabilities in Birmingham, AL, and it continues to make investments at its Watertown and Huron, SD manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n

The new Flex Pro controls for Terex digger derricks offer operators a suite of customizable electronic control consoles and radio remote options to best fit their needs.<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201cIn parallel to adding new installation locations, we continue to maximize the potential of our core South Dakota factories,\u201d Kluver added.<\/p>\n

During the drive-thru at EUFMC, Terex Utilities<\/a> showcased an Optima TC55 bucket on a truck that was equipped with the cutting-edge 3rd Eye\u00ae digital platform featuring a 360\u00b0 camera system with AI technology and Reverse Automatic Braking Technology.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe system provides drivers with an unmatched level of situational awareness for superior maneuverability and safety,\u201d Dan Brenden, Director of Engineering said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe truck also features 3rd Eye\u2019s Reverse Automatic Braking Technology, which enhances protection by detecting potential hazards, providing visual and audible alerts, and applying the brakes automatically, without driver intervention.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally, Terex Utilities<\/a> displayed the Hollow Kelly Bar, which eliminates the need for a screw anchor adaptor and reduces manual handling, requires less lifting, and increases productivity.<\/p>\n
