Continuing its mission to provide the crane industry with valuable tools and resources to expose, identify, and recruit the next generation employees, the NCCCO<\/a> Foundation published a new research report entitled, \u201cExploring Occupations Similar to Crane Operators and Other Related Roles<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

‘Exploring Occupations Similar to Crane Operators and Other Related Roles’ is the second research report developed in partnership with the Human Resources Research Organization.<\/p><\/div>\n

The report is the second research report developed in partnership with the Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) and addresses four key questions facing the crane industry:<\/p>\n

  1. What occupations are best positioned to transition to the crane industry?<\/li>\n
  2. What occupations employ people with the skills, personal characteristics, and ability to work in similar environments that would allow them to be successful in the crane industry?<\/li>\n
  3. What occupations perform similar tasks compared to workers in the crane industry?<\/li>\n
  4. How can knowledge of the occupations similar to those in the crane industry be used to (a) improve recruitment, (b) facilitate outreach, and (c) enhance career development?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u201cResearch like this has never been undertaken for the crane industry. It provides insights and answers that are both interesting and applicable,\u201d said T.J. Cantwell, Executive Director of the NCCCO<\/a> Foundation.<\/p>\n

    The research report is available for free download on the NCCCO<\/a> Foundation website at https:\/\/www.ncccofoundation.org\/research\/workforce-research-similar-occupations\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    The NCCCO<\/a> Foundation is also hosting a webinar on Wednesday, May 21 at noon Eastern featuring a senior researcher at HumRRO to provide a brief overview of the report and key findings. He will be joined by a recruiter who works with clients to fill a variety of roles in the construction industry.<\/p>\n
