Toyota Material Handling<\/a>\u00a0and The Raymond Corporation<\/a> \u2013 two leading providers of material handling solutions \u2013 will formally integrate into one company under the name Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), effective April 1.<\/p>\n

TMHNA announced its commitment to maintaining unique brand identities for both Raymond<\/a> and Toyota<\/a> in the marketplace, striving to preserve and enhance its customer relationships.<\/p>\n

Toyota<\/a> acquired The Raymond Corporation<\/a> in 2001. This unification will allow TMHNA to leverage the unique strengths of both organizations to be more efficient for the benefit of both Toyota<\/a> and Raymond<\/a> customers.<\/p>\n

The organization will integrate both the Toyota<\/a> and Raymond<\/a> president responsibilities into TMHNA, which will be led by President & CEO,\u00a0Brett Wood. Wood, a respected leader in the material handling industry, also serves as a Senior Executive Officer for TMHNA\u2019s parent company Toyota<\/a> Industries Corporation (TICO).<\/p>\n

Current Toyota Material Handling<\/a> President & CEO,\u00a0Bill Finerty will formally retire at the end of March. Michael Field, the current President & CEO of The Raymond Corporation<\/a>, will become TMHNA\u2019s Chief Operations Officer (COO).<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a historic day for our company, customers, dealers, and associates,\u201d Wood said. \u201cOur customers\u2019 needs are evolving rapidly, and we must prepare and adapt to an ever-changing market. We have an amazing opportunity to leverage the best people, processes, and products into one unified organization. We want to become the undisputed industry leader in solving our customers\u2019 problems through innovation for decades to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

This integration will not result in layoffs. In fact, TMHNA plans to invest even more in its people to accelerate growth. One in three forklifts sold in North America is either a Toyota<\/a> or Raymond<\/a> product.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal isn\u2019t to reduce our workforce, but rather to bring together the strengths, resources, and talent from throughout our organizations,\u201d said Wood.<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether, we will create a more dynamic, more resilient organization. We will continue to invest in the growth and development of all our associates.\u201d<\/p>\n

The organization will integrate both the Toyota and Raymond president responsibilities into TMHNA, which will be led by President & CEO,\u00a0Brett Wood.<\/p><\/div>\n

TMHNA builds its products at four main manufacturing plants \u2013 in Columbus, Indiana; Greene, New York; Muscatine, Iowa; and East Chicago, Indiana (Toyota<\/a> Heavy Duty Division). Late last year, the company broke ground on a new 295,000 square-foot factory across the street from its existing North American headquarters in Columbus. The new factory, which will focus specifically on producing electric products to drive down lead times, is scheduled to open in 2026.<\/p>\n

To optimize manufacturing processes, a $50 million investment to building, infrastructure and equipment elevated operations in Greene, New York, and Muscatine, Iowa manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n
