Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas<\/a>, a manufacturer of material handling, automation and fleet solutions, has opened its 21st\u00a0Annual Cat\u00a0Lift Trucks Scholarship Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Spearheading a two-decade commitment, the $5,000 scholarship<\/a> is awarded to a Houston-area high-school senior for their passion to pursue a four-year degree related to the material handling industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that education is the foundation for building a better tomorrow,\u201d said Ken Barina, president of Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur scholarship program<\/a> isn\u2019t just about financial support; it\u2019s about empowering young leaders to unlock their full potential and make a meaningful impact on their communities and the world. We are proud to stand with these exceptional students as they pave the way for a brighter, more innovative future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since its launch in 2005, the Cat Lift Trucks Scholarship Program<\/a> has awarded a cumulative $145,000 in educational assistance to 28 outstanding students from the Greater Houston area.<\/p>\n

Past recipients have enrolled in prestigious Texas universities and colleges, including Texas A&M University, The University of Texas at Austin and Texas State Technical College, pursuing degrees in diverse fields, such as mechanical and chemical engineering, welding technology and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Selection criteria include academic performance, community service involvement, leadership abilities and financial need.<\/p>\n

As the Official Lift Truck Provider of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR)<\/a>, Cat Lift Trucks will announce the winner of the 2025 scholarship<\/a> during the annual HLSR event, scheduled to take place from March 4 to March 23, 2025, in Houston.<\/p>\n

How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applications for the 2025 Cat Lift Trucks scholarship<\/a> must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. CST on January 31, 2025.<\/p>\n

Applicants must be from a Houston-area school district and plan to enroll in a college, university, or technical school in Texas focusing on engineering or a business-oriented or technical trade field related to the material handling industry.<\/p>\n
