{"id":13262,"date":"2024-06-18T01:40:56","date_gmt":"2024-06-18T01:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/news\/?p=13262"},"modified":"2024-06-14T13:46:25","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T13:46:25","slug":"crane-for-mma-valour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/news\/crane-for-mma-valour\/","title":{"rendered":"Crane for MMA Valour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MacGregor, part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/item\/cargotec\/\">Cargotec<\/a>, has received a large order for its 50-tonne active heave compensated (AHC) crane, to be installed on board MMA Valour, a versatile and \ufb02exible multi-purpose platform supply vessel.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel has a proven track record in servicing a broad range of offshore work scopes across the energy and offshore wind sectors.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The contract has been booked into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/item\/cargotec\/\">Cargotec<\/a>\u2019s second quarter 2024 order intake, with crane supply scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>MacGregor\u2019s range of well proven AHC cranes, including its subsea cranes, offer precise lifting capabilities in all conditions, including extreme environments and across temperatures of between plus to minus 40\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>This contract follows successful deliveries of AHC cranes by MacGregor to MMA Offshore for two of its flagship vessels the MMA Pinnacle and MMA Prestige.<\/p>\n<p>MMA offshore managing director, David Ross, said: \u201cWe are looking forward to fitting the MMA Valour with a MacGregor active heave compensated crane which will enhance the vessel\u2019s capability to provide a broader range of marine and subsea services to our clients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conversion of the Valour to a multi-purpose support vessel will enable the vessel to provide light construction, ROV, survey and geotechnical support in addition to traditional supply services.
