The National Pilot Car Association (NPCA) is working towards developing a central location to provide access to information that would verify a pilot car operator\u2019s certification credentials.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are fourteen states that require pilot car operators to be certified and there is no easy way to verify that a certification is true and valid,\u201d said Bill Wegrzyn, president of NCPA.<\/p>\n

Currently, NPCA has received access to certification information from Washington, Arizona, and Oklahoma, and is working with officials in Colorado, Utah, and Florida. The goal is to provide verification of name, certification number, city and state, and date of expiration of the certification.<\/p>\n

NPCA is committed to developing lasting relationships with lawmakers and regulators around the country so that new rules, regulations, and laws are written with input from the pilot car industry.<\/p><\/div>\n

While the project is ongoing, NPCA encourages employers, transportation companies, and pilot car brokers to contact the individual government agency that oversees pilot car certifications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
