{"id":10756,"date":"2022-10-10T01:05:34","date_gmt":"2022-10-10T01:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/news\/?p=10756"},"modified":"2022-10-03T14:52:51","modified_gmt":"2022-10-03T14:52:51","slug":"ata-thanks-usdot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.findadistributor.com\/news\/ata-thanks-usdot\/","title":{"rendered":"ATA Thanks USDOT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The American Trucking Associations (ATA) recently thanked the U.S. Department of Transportation for its commitment to expanding the nation\u2019s truck parking capacity.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter\u00a0to ATA President and CEO Chris Spear, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg pledged the Administration\u2019s support for increasing the availability of safe parking options for America\u2019s professional truck drivers through its Trucking Action Plan, grant funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and increased coordination with state departments of transportation and the trucking industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank Secretary Buttigieg and the Administration for their ongoing commitment to America\u2019s professional truck drivers. A USDOT report found 98% of drivers regularly experience problems finding safe parking.
