The American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) has opened nominations<\/a> for its sixth annual Humanitarian Logistics Awards<\/a>, and it\u2019s asking for your help in identifying some of this year\u2019s most deserving honorees.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany humanitarian efforts couldn\u2019t happen or happen as well without the generosity of the commercial supply chain community,\u201d said ALAN Executive Director Kathy Fulton.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese awards were created to shine a light on that generosity and to honor our industry\u2019s most selfless companies and individuals. We clearly know who some of them are because we\u2019ve worked hand-in-hand with them to help provide disaster relief.\u00a0However there are many others that we won\u2019t be aware of \u2013 and able to honor \u2013 unless someone takes the time to nominate them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nominations (including self-nominations) can be made via ALAN\u2019s web site (https:\/\/www.alanaid.org\/humanitarian-awards-nomination\/<\/a>) between now and June 30th.\u00a0Winners will be announced this fall.<\/p>\n

ALAN\u2019s Humanitarian Logistics Awards are open to any logistics professional, academic, organization or department.\u00a0They are awarded in four key categories, each of which can have multiple honorees:<\/p>\n

  1. Outstanding Contribution To Humanitarian Logistics<\/li>\n
  2. Employee Engagement<\/li>\n
  3. Research And Academic Contributions<\/li>\n
  4. And Lifetime Achievement<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
