This day provides an opportunity for the industry to educate customers, policymakers and government officials on forklift operating safety practices to encourage safer behavior.<\/p>\n<p>As an industry leading voice in the effort to improve safety, NMHG\u2019s Chuck Pascarelli, president of the Americas; Bill Pfleger, vice president of counterbalance solutions; and Don Buckman, division environmental, health and safety manager, attended the ITA\u2019s National Forklift Safety Day events in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, NMHG\u2019s Jay Costello, director of training, was also in attendance as one of the featured presenters during the event\u2019s Summit Meeting. The events focused on forklift operator training and pedestrian safety, reminding employees the critical role each plays in advancing safety and reducing lift truck related incidents.
